    addon gwar3000 manual

It usually does not matter which browser you choose to use. It should look something like this: Your router's IP address can also be refered to as your computer's default gateway. If all goes well you will see the following screen: Here's how you do it. Starting from the first page in your router: The name does not matter so pick something that has meaning to you. When you enter that number it means any external IP address that has been assigned to your router will work. If that does not work you will have to enter your external IP address manually, which can be a problem because your external IP address may change often. If it changes then those ports will not be forwarded properly anymore. It's possible for this to be either the IP address of your computer or any other IP address on your network that you want ports forwarded to. If you are forwarding a range of ports, usually separated by a hyphen, then you need to enter the lowest number of that range into the Destination Port Start, Destination Port Map box and then enter highest number into the Destination Port End box. It is time to test them. Our Open Port Check tool is the only online port checking tool with Guaranteed Results. ADDON GWAR3000Router Internal IP Address: Open link Voila! You are now logged in! Of course, you can build a strong hash password with special character, numbers, greek and latin. But ultimately you will endup writing it on a sticky and putting it on the router which defeats the purpose.Look for Network Name (SSID), this is the wifi name of your ADDON GWAR3000 Router. Once you enter the name for your network, you have to enable WPA2-PSK encryption on your ADDON GWAR3000 router. That’s the strongest encryption standard available for home networks. Keep it 16-20 characters and (please!) don’t use the same password that you used for ADDON GWAR3000 router login. You did good so far, Now consider. The figure below is a rough overview of the connection. The login screen will appear. The login dialog window will appear. This device’s default user name is Admin (case sensitive) and password is Admin (case sensitive). Type in Admin (case sensitive) for user name and Admin (case sensitive) for password and then press Log in button. You'll find such information in the Manual of your Addon GWAR3000 router. But if you do not have the manual for your router or you do not want to read the whole manual to find the default login information then you can use the quick guide below. To get to the router login page it's necessary that you are connected to the router. The default password is Admin. Sometimes the username and password doesn't work that we mentioned in the top of this guide.Did you try the following IPs? In the list below we listed all known router IPs for the manufacturer Addon. Maybe this will work for you. This can be done easily by clicking on the reset button at the back or at the bottom of your router. If you hold down this small button for approximately 20 seconds, (you may have to use a toothpick), then your modem will get restored to the factory settings. What you need to keep in mind is that when you reset your modem, you will lose your connection online. It is therefore better to take an expert's assistance in this regard. Since this firewall blocks incoming connections you may need open a port through it for certain games and applications. This process of opening a port is frequently called a port forward, since you are forwarding a port from the internet to your home network. That's why we created Network Utilities. Our software does everything that you need to forward a port. This ensures that your ports will remain open even after your device reboots. Your router has a web interface, so you will login to it using your web browser. This can be either Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Edge.

Open Command prompt -In command prompt type netsh wlan show all You will see a list of all wireless networks and the channels being used in your vicinity. This means that if possible, you should consider hardwire (using Ethernet cable) the devices that tend to consume a lot of bandwidth. Although this can sort of defeat the purpose of having wireless network, but it can actually help your overall network speed of ADDON GWAR3000 if you can hardwire the bandwidth hogs. 5. Reboot ADDON GWAR3000 on a schedule Here is something important to note. On schedule, folks, reboot your ADDON GWAR3000 router. Though routers are built to constantly be running at all times, simple tweak like regular power cycling (a fancy way of saying unplugging the power cord and shoving it back up) helps with most issues. Rebooting your ADDON GWAR3000 can fix Internet connection problems, improve slow moving connections and resolve wireless issues altogether. Try unplugging your ADDON modem on a quarterly basis to stay proactive (Never reset, always reboot modem). Even if you have a wireless router, only post here if you have a question about issues with the wireless functionality of it. Questions about wireless access points, cards, hot-spots etc.Even with the PC with the wreless sat next to it, its still very low signal. At the moment, its upstairs, about 1 feet away (router is sat on shelf) and the computer only has 1 bar signal at 5.5Mbps Is this just a router problem, or can new 4rd party firmware change this? Thanks Even with the PC with the wreless sat next to it, its still very low signal. At the moment, its upstairs, about 1 feet away (router is sat on shelf) and the computer only has 1 bar signal at 5.5Mbps Is this just a router problem, or can new 4rd party firmware change this? Thanks. The firmware is a possibility but a remote one I would have thought. Are you sure it's the router and not the card in the PC. Does the GWAR3000 have a removable aerial.

Security is a continuous process Just keep in mind to change the passwords often or at least once in every 6 months.Time for a bulletin on the fridge, folks. We can remind you though. Press the reset button with a pin or something that gets through the tiny hole, and hold it for about 15 seconds! (till you see all lights flickering) Your ADDON GWAR3000 router shall be reset in no time, and you can start from step 1 in this guide to set it back up We are looking for Sponsors. We are looking for sponsors for our site Read more How to boost ADDON GWAR3000 Wifi and overcome connectivity issues: 1.Place the ADDON GWAR3000 in a perfect spot The perfect spot does it all; be it romance or your router. To avail the best signal and network connectivity, make sure you keep your ADDON GWAR3000 router visibly and not facing the wall or behind the curtains 2.Find a Good Wireless Channel Instead of Auto on your ADDON GWAR3000 router Auto channels might fail you once in a while; believe that you’re smarter than the ADDON router. Find a seamless wireless channel instead of what the router finds automatically. This would ensure that your signal does not interfere with that of your neighbors.

Indeed - I checked the manufacturer's support site and no firmware downloads are listed so looks like there's only been the one version I have opened up the GWAR-3000 and it seems identical electronically to the Safecom offering (including he wireless card) although as you pointed out it does not have a detachable aerial. Only problem was that out of the 4 models that I bought 3 had PSP bootloaders and 1 had an Adam2, so be careful to identify the bootloader before choosing out of the 2 RT firmwares. One PC is connected via a network cable, the other is connected wirelessly. After playing around with the router a bit i've found that the router can see both PCs, but i still can't see one PC from the other or have both on the internet at the same time. If i do ipconfig on the pc that can't connect it doesn't have a default gateway. Any help is much appreciated.A possibilty is that both computers are trying to use the same ip address. Can you post the ipconfig details from both computers while connected to the router please?

If so try replacing it with another (perhaps swap it with the one from the PC if using a PCI card). Have you checked for interference from other Networks (using netstumbler). More likely to get intermittant failure than low signal but worth checking. The PCI Card i used, came from the computer at home. So i know it has a good range on it (200ft on 3 bars 36Mbps) Its a bt voyager and works really well. Theres no other networks around here, but there are wireless phones, and a wireless oil temputure thing. Ill give the netstumbler thing a go the arial is attached to the box, i opened it up and its just a wire connecting to a different part of the circuit board! No support via PM. Ask all questions on the open forum. You will probably get a better range with a more recent firmware with up-to-date gateway and DSP versions. The RT firmware would be fine - but of course you need to think carefully about whether you want to risk a firmware upgrade (no matter how small the risk is, there is always a risk when you upgrade your firmware). I wudnt of thought it wud need cleaning, its brand new Ive also just found out, if the bedroom door is shut, it goes up to full bar signal, open, drops to one but the speed is still low I wudnt of thought it wud need cleaning, its brand new Ive also just found out, if the bedroom door is shut, it goes up to full bar signal, open, drops to one but the speed is still low. The newness isn't the issue Soetimes socketed cards - even in brand new routers - work loos in transit or through time if not secured with something like a blob of hot glue so it's always worth at least removing and reinserting the card if possible. And I doubt that you will ever find an updated firmware from your router's mfr. No support via PM. Ask all questions on the open forum.

Here are screen shots that I just took of my prototype C309g with the settings (btw -- don't forget to hit the Apply button after you make changes): Message Edited by Wi-Fi-Guy on 11-26-2009 09:49 AM I can replicate your screen but as soon as I click apply I get an error message telling me I have to put values 0-255 in each box.I have tried the internet with the printer on and that works now too so thank you very much indeed you have fixed the problem for me. Most impressive. Best regards, Craig What is the make and model of your wireless-router. Who provides your internet service? Router is ADDON GWAR3000 ISP is TalkTalk (Carphone Warehouse) Thanks again Craig I bought a new router, Netgear N600 and installed it last night. Everything worked fine until I printed something. I lost my internet connection. As long as the printer was off, everything was fine. Turn it on and poof, no internet. Now, I'm not sure why the new router and printer are having issues since my old router and the same printer worked fine together. Regardless, I set up a static IP address for the printer and everything is working fine. Thanks for the solution. Information and links in this thread may no longer be available or relevant. If you have a question create a new topic by clicking here and select the appropriate board. Please upgrade your browser to improve your experience. I contacted the ISP (tiscali.terrible customer service) who finally said the router must be broken. They sent me a Speedtouch USB modem which connects fine to internet but which I cannot connect to the router. I am at my wits end and the 18yr old techie next door couldn't figure it out. The mystery is that I cannot connect the router to the internet. I feel that if I could connect modem(USB) to router I might be able to reconfigure but it is physically impossible. Previously we simply had adsl line into router with no external modem and it worked fine.

The speedtouch modem seems to work through a dialup connection is this the prob?.where am I going wrong.I've tried disconnecting the adsl line from the modem(which goes through dial up) and connecting to the router then connecting router to pc with ethernet cable. I get four steady lights (Power, Wan, Wlan, Lan) the same configuration that used to work. I get the icon that says the network is connected, this also shows on the other pc and laptop on the original network. Forgot to mention earlier that Isp ran diagnostics and said there was a problem with router which was not showing a Default Gateway. How significant this is, is beyond me.What I can't do is get to router set up page ( yes, it is 192.168.1.1) to see if there's anything obvious (and it would need to be for my level of understanding!). That IP is also the default gateway IP as your ISP said it was the problem. I was a little confused with you using the speedtouch 330 with a router, I don't think you can use a USB device through a router. This is what now shows on ipconfig. For a brief moment that seeemed to get all three machines connected to home pages.but hopes dashed shortly thereafter when connections on two remote machines dropped. Maybe the router and modem conflicting. Is this a clue? If so what's the next step please. This has now been goinG on for nearly a week and is driving the whole household mad.(well even more mad!)!!! As your speedtouch 330 is working ok to get you online you can rule out any problem with your ISP (tiscali). It sounds to me like the problem is EITHER with your router OR your PC (s) as you dont know what your housemate may have done while you were away. Forget about the speedtouch 330 for a moment, that is a standalone ADSL modem, your router already has an ADSL modem built in which is why you cannot connect your speedtouch to the router and is also why the telephone line plugs straight into the router.

Ipconfig deatils for PC connected via network cable: Connect-specific DNS suffiix: IP Address: 192.168.1.3 Subnet Mask: 225.225.225.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 Ipconfig details for PC connected via wireless card: Nothing shown.Any ideas how i change this?Using the PC with the ethernet connection enter the router by opening internet explorer and typing 192.168.1.1 Turn DHCP on if you haven't already. Also for now turn WEP or WPA encription off. Now open the network connections and right click on your NIC card (your ethernet network card) and go to properties. Make sure everything is set on auto. Do the same on your wireless connection and make sure everything is set on auto. If you now do view available wireless networks does your wireless pc see the router. If it does try connecting to it now. Also try turning off any firewalls running at the mo just untill you sort the problem out.Or will it also be available as an option for the LAN connection? Then you want to make sure each PC is configured to get its IP address automatically. If you can connect to the internet successfully from on PC through the router, it sounds like your WAN settings are good, your problem is most likely on the LAN or PC side of things.Basically the default gateway of 192.168.1.1 was not working correctly and i changed it to 192.168.1.254 (I.e. the other end of the range). Then i entered each PC's IP address as 192.168.1.xxx (where xxx is a number less than 254). Finally i entered the DNS server address and i was way. I believe the last bit could have been avoided if perhaps i hadn't messed around with the router trying to set it up in the first place. Once again thanks D Gem and Zip!Definetely sounds like you changed a setting somewhere in the router. If you ever want to go back to the original router settings you could always do a factory reset via the interface program or the little button on the router. Information and links in this thread may no longer be available or relevant.

If you have a question create a new topic by clicking here and select the appropriate board.I have installed the software on 1 laptop, connected wireless and 1 desktop, connected wired, to an ADDON GWAR3000 router. Everything installed and tested fine and both computers print ok via the router. The only problem I have is that when I turn on the printer I loose my internet connection. My e-mail still works so the actual connection is obviously fine but I cannot connect to the internet. I suspected some IP adress clash may be responsible but I have checked this and all seems ok. Adresses are set via DHCP. I am running McAfee internet security on both machines but I cant see any issues here either, although I am by no means an expert in this field. Does anyone have any similar experience or solutions to suggest? Craig Select Networking and then Wireless (802.11). Under the IPv4 Configuration tab, select Manual IP: For Manual IP Address, use the existing printer IP address. For Manual Subnet Mask, use 255.255.255.0 For Manual Default Gateway, leave blank. This is important. Select Manual DNS Server: Leave both the Manual Preferred DNS Server and Manual Alternate DNS Server fields empty. This is important. Press Apply. Turn off the wireless- router, the printer and all computers connected to your network. Wait 60 seconds then turn on the wireless- router and then turn on the printer. Then turn on the computers. BTW -- who is your ISP (Internet provider)? Unfortunately it is not possible to manually set the IP address but leave DNS server fields blank. Neither can I allocate a manual IP adress outside of the router range (it just goes to 0). I have tried reserving the printer IP address in the router and manually setting it in the printer but, when I switch on the printer it still knocks out my internet connection. It seems bizarre. Looks like I will have to hard wire the printer to the router??!!

You say when you connect your PC to the router with an ethernet cable you get the icon to say the network is connected, that suggests to me that your router is working but that it may not be getting a connection to the internet. Type IP Config and see what is displayed as your default gateway. If you have a wireless adapted connected to your PC as well you may see more results just to confuse you. If possible, unplug your wireless adapter first. If not, look for a heading that says 'ethernet' in it. If you dont see a default gateway listed then someone may have been playing with the network settings on your PC, but if you do, type this into internet explorer.I'd be quite happy to do a factory restart if I could get to the set up page!!! Err, gulp. I'm not even sure that router has built in modem. Then ISP sent new modem which goes through dialup which won't work with router??? I have set up disk manual (which won't set it up at present!!!) which doens't mention modem.but then it did work and provide internet to three machines for 18 mths while being turned off each night and then turned on again with the pc in the morning. Is that posssble, and if so, might it offer a solution. By the way the model number is Addon GWAR 3000. As you can tell my level of ignorance is certainly a contributing factor to the dicfficulties whihc I woudl rather not make worse. Unfortunately the person originally installed the router and netowrk it was so rude and pompous that we vowed never to use his service again. I can't see how he'd have installed in the first place if it can't work with modem and doesn't have it's own. I'm going to lie down in a dark room for a short while and will come back fortified with strong coffee for another crack.to early in the day for whisky. It's not 'dialing up' in the way old 56k modems used to with whistles and screech, but it's still got a modem.

There should be tiny reset button somewhere on the case of the Addon GWAR 3000, possibly recessed into the case. Power it up, try pressing and holding the reset for 30 seconds to see of you can get back access from Glad to hear that Gwar3000 has modem.manual doesn't mention it!!! Having a go at factory reset.I may be some time!!!! Do I need to configure a new connection for the router and if so whatsettings do I use. Thanks to everyone for their help.so far! At first I was pleasantly surprised - within a few hours my synch speed had gone up over 3000 and my downloads etc were coming in at a steady 280-290k which is much higher than before. However, in the last few days it all seems to be slowing back down again and to the point where downloads are no quicker than they were previously (although my router is still reporting a synch speed of around 2300.
