I was wondering if it would be possible for one of you knowledgeable people to identify the alarm panel fitted in my house. It was fitted around 1998.I have both the G3 and G4 manuals and my alarm does not seem to confirm to the menu structure set out in either manual. I can access some sections, but not others.I have successfully managed to set up two programs as per the manuals, however I am not able to perform a simple walk test. I'm hoping if I can identify the panel, things should make more sense. The G3 manual I have is badged up as ADE. Features 8 zones programmable for Security, 2 zones for Fire. PA input. Tamper input. Outputs for External Siren (Bell) and Strobe. The Accenta panel may be concealed inside a cupboard or loft space, but it must be installed within the protected premises and in a position which is convenient for a mains supply. NOTE: The Accenta Mini enclosure is illustrated here, however the procedures for the other panels is similar. Remove the front cover(s) from the base assembly. Up to four remote LCD or LED keypads can be connected to the panel. Wire the keypad(s) as per Figure 5 (LED keypad) or Figure 6 (LCD keypad). Cut away the required thin wall sections around the edges of the baseplate for cable entry. The baseplate may be fitted directly to the wall using screws and wall plugs. If these are not appropriate for the wall then use suitable alternative fixings. This will automatically exclude the availability of the zone from programs and normal security applications.Operational in Unset and Set, the PA circuit will cause a full alarm condition when activated. PA is indicated on the control panel or RKP. Terminal TADB are for connection to the external siren.Twin External Siren Wiring 13V Supply Output The 13V output is to power detectors which require a voltage supply (PIR detectors etc). The supply is present at all times and may be used to supply a total load of 350mA. These terminals have been provided for connection to remote signalling equipment such as a digital communi- cator, or speech dialler. Where the communicator is powered from an external source, not the panel and the outputs are being used without relays, the panel and external power supply will require a common negative supply rail. The 2 A fused spur must be located close to the control panel. Check that the factory fitted links are connected to terminals PA, TAMP and T-A. Once the Engineer program mode has been accessed, each configuration may be changed in any order.

If 2 or more keypad s are to be connected to a single control panel, then 13V, 0V, COMMS and SOUND terminals of all keypad s should be wired in parallel, but the tamper circuit must be wired in series, as shown below: 8. Test the operation of the keypad by connecting the battery power to the control panel. The red POWER LED will light, and the LCD should show “ Accenta LCD Keypad”. Since the control panel should power up into an alarm condition, the keypad will generate the alarm sound. To silence the alarm key in the customer code and press RESET. 9. The LCD should now display:... Ready 10. The potentiometer on the back of the PCB, labelled “LCD TILT”, should be adjusted to give the optimum contrast from the expected viewing angle. 11. Fix the front to rear housing, and tighten the retaining screw. 12. Installation is complete. You should now program the keypad PROGRAMMING PROGRAMMING The keypad has a local programming mode that allows you to change any of the data held by the keypad in its non-volatile memory. Note that this programming mode is completely separate from the engineer programming of the connected control panel, and may use a different engineer access code. Programming Mode To enter programming mode press and hold down the RESET button for 5 seconds. The LCD will prompt for the Engineer code. By default this is 9999, although it can be changed. Enter the engineer code. If the correct code has been entered the LCD will display the first menu option, “Change Zone Names?”. To see the other menu options press OMIT to step forward through the menus, or CHIME to step backwards. The flowchart overleaf shows the entire menu structure. The buttons on the keypad are generally used as follows: SET do this. RESET quit this menu without changing anything. OMIT move forwards through the menu options. CHIME move backwards through the menu options. PROG used in text entry to change upper to lower case.

Note that if the keypad is left in programming mode for more than 4 minutes it will time-out and revert back to normal mode. Zone Names Enter your code. The keypad uses a non-volatile memory to store a 14 character description (or name) of each of the zones. By default these descriptions are simply “Zone 1”, “Zone 2”, etc. The Zone descriptions can be changed from the first menu. Press SET and the LCD will display the name of zone 1. To see other zone names press OMIT or CHIME. To quit from this mode press RESET. To change the name of a zone press SET. Initially the cursor will be positioned at the right of the existing name. Press the OMIT key to delete single characters, or hold down the OMIT key for 2 seconds to delete the entire name. Enter the new zone name using the keypad keys in the same way that names are entered into a mobile phone. Above each number key are 3 or 4 letters. When you press the number key once the first letter above the key will be displayed. CHIME Change Ban Thank you, for helping us keep this platform clean. I found one of these accenta g4 minis lying in the workshop after coming home from holiday finding my reliable old faithful Optima XM had died and went to heaven. I installed it and had the same fault code. As i am an experienced installer and have (too much) faith in my own wiring I googled the code and arrived here. It transpires that when I was closing the case, I inadvertantly left the comms wire and a tamper wire in the way of the screw which sliced the wires in two. Relocating them solved the problem. Hope this helps others. PS coldelsol quote: lcd Accenta G4 rkp F131 -01-100.i know what it stands for If you knew what it meant why don't you enlighten us??Click to expand. By the way, have you done a Full Battery Discharge Test. No, I didn't think so. Bet it's naff. It'd be good to know the battery Ah rating, would be easier to advise, but, if it is a small 2.1Ah and a discharge test shows nearly or below 1.3Ah, replace it if it's a 7Ah and shows nearly or below 4.55Ah, again replace it.Click to expand. You can create your listing free at DIYnot Local. The Casil range by Honeywell is the range we recommend for all the panels we sell. The 2.1ah or 1.2ah will fit this panel. It features full and part set abilities and can take upto 8 zones, with two of them being allocated a fire zone if needed. This particular panel 8SP399A comes with LCD keypad and has a battery capacity upto 2.1ah. Please Sign in or create an account.

Also, the new Optima and Optima Compact control panels, available from January 1999, can use this keypad. The Accenta LCD keypad can be programmed with a 14 character name for each zone, which will be displayed to the customer in the event of an alarm, or when reviewing the event log. The main benefit is that all zones on the intruder alarm panel can be given meaningful names, such as LOUNGE, BACKDOOR, etc, to give immediate identification of any alarm or problem. The Accenta LCD keypad is an ideal upgrade to any existing Accenta system. Accenta LCD keypad s can be mixed with standard Accenta LED keypad s on the same system, up to a maximum of 4 keypad s. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT: disconnect both mains and battery power from the control panel before commencing installation. Fix the keypad in place by following these steps: 1. Loosen the retaining screw in the lower edge of the keypad housing, and separate the front and rear parts. 2. Choose the cable entry point. A hole in the back of the housing permits the rear entry of concealed wiring. Four knock-outs around the edge of the rear case permit cable entry from any side via mini-trunking. The knock-outs can be removed by levering with a screw driver. 3. Offer the rear housing up to the wall, and mark out the 3 screw positions. Use the top key-hole slot, and the lower 2 holes. 4. Drill and plug the wall as necessary, then fix the rear housing to a wall using three No. 6 wood screws. 5. Run a 6 core alarm cable from the control panel to the keypad. The keypad connection terminals can be found on the PCB which is held in the front part of the housing. 6. If a single keypad is to be fitted to the control panel then simply connect each of the 6 terminals on the keypad to the same terminal on the panel, i.e. 13V connects to 13V, COMMS to COMMS, etc. 7.
